Best Kayak Hire/Tour Locations in Sydney

So - have I whetted your appetite for Kayaking? There are so many places to go paddling in Sydney, I bet if you're a Sydneysider, there will be some place close by.

So here are some of the top places to go - as time goes by, I will update this list with a personal recommendation, along with facilities, etc.

Sydney Harbour Kayaks - The Spit, Mosman

You can hire, have a private or group lesson (excellent, highly recommended and completely free if you bring your own kayak!), go on a guided tour, grab a fresh coffee or hot chocolate and there are toilets too. Kayaks and equipment available to try and buy. Very friendly and helpful, even if you don't buy from them. If you are not familiar with the Spit Road, and find yourself driving on the opposite side of the road, just park up anyway and walk across the road, as you'll drive ages before you can turn around and drive back. The Spit is an excellent location to go exploring Middle Harbour, and the many small beaches around. Watch out for congestion when the bridge is raised (and other times too!) Bridge opening times.

Manly Kayaks - Manly

Life's An Adventure - various events on offer, including a regular program of kayak tours and social paddles available in the Sydney area.

OzPaddle - fitness training and hire at various venues around Sydney including Balmoral, Breakfast Creek, Colmslie, Caloundra, Hervey Bay, Manly, Maroochydore, Northbridge, Rose Bay, Woolloomooloo.

Northbridge Kayaks - hire, tours, fitness classes, lessons, shop.

So, what are you waiting for? Give it a go!
